Taxi WARNING!!!!

Taking a cab is one of the most comfortable, faster and convenient way to commute. One can be picked up from one point and will be dropped off to their destination. For call center agents and other people working at night its a common thing to take a cab. As a call center agent, I have taken several disappointing cab rides. There are those cab drivers that will take a long route or insisting on longer route claiming its faster, or to avoid TRAFFIC? I hate those cab drivers who will proactively asked for 50.00 pesos more… Hello? For those drivers that complains about traffic? What the… Nowadays… traffic is a common thing and since they are always on the road they should not complain about that its part of their job. There are those who will ask for your destination then will say something negative… like its to far then they will ask for additional payment – which ranges from 20.00 pesos- 50.00, and if you won’t agree they will not let you in. During rush hours is the worst time for a cab ride its better to take a bus, fx, MRT, tricycle or other means of public transportation than taking a taxi. Those taxi drivers are aware that most of the commuters are desperate to get a ride and they will name their price, which is usually 100%-200% more than the rate if they will use the taxi meter,  just to drive you to your destination.  There are cab drivers who are taking drugs to stay up, so you have to be observant. If you sense anything wrong about his driving call the taxi driver’s attention. But if nothing happens get out of the cab, your safety is more important.

Before getting in a cab make sure that you have some change so that you can pay the driver the exact amount. Cab drivers usually does not give any change. When you  look at the face of the taxi driver when your get in a cab make it a point to take note of the taxi’s name and plate number. Make sure you lock the doors.

It has been said that there might be some taxi fare increase. The flag-down will increase from 30.00 pesos- 40.00, and instead of 2.50 pesos- 3.50 pesos for every 250 meters or for every two minutes of waiting time.

If they will increase the taxi fare please do not tolerate abusive taxi drivers, report them not only through texting or calling the DOTC hotline. You may ask them to drop you off in front of an MMDA any traffic enforcer then report them immediately.

Report abusive taxi drivers —  refusing to accept a passengers – asking for additional charges or fixing the price refusing to use the taxi meter.

Getting your NBI Clearance

Today I tried to get my NBI clearance. I was under the impression that if I go directly to NBI Monumento there will be less people. I thought it would be faster. Waiting online observing the chaotic system they had made me wonder why?… Why does it seem like every time you go to a government agency to get something its such a horrific humbling experience. No chairs, poor service, rude people and depressing system. Getting your NBI clearance is painstaking long.

When I arrived I looked for an information desk. Asked them for the application form and the manong said “mamaya pa kami magpapapasok” so I stayed there waiting for a couple of minutes.  Then the first guy who was waiting in line was the one who informed me that there was a line for people who were trying to get an application. I relied on the information from those people who were waiting in line from them I found out the there were 2 different lines. One is for those renewing and the other is for new applicants.

After waiting for a couple of hours a guy was talking to a lot of us it seemed like he was already discouraging other people to wait. He asked the others about their business and directed them to the right line. Some of the people who were in our lane was just renewing their NBI clearance so they transferred. He told some of the people to just go back on Monday. He said “3:30 cut-off na… ang haba pa ng pila kung sino lang ang makakapasok by 3:30 yun lang pag di kayo umabot balik na lang kayo sa Monday… Agahan niyo dahil January talagang peak season namin” I stayed, and hoped against hope, that I would be able to get my clearance. After an hour the line suddenly moved so fast I was so happy and excited… However  the line was just moving because they announced that they won’t entertain applicants anymore. Some people who waited complained and argued but nothing happened

So on Monday, I will go back to the 5th floor of Victory Central Mall to get my  NBI clearance.

5th flr Victory Central Mall #717 Old Victory Liner Cmpd. Rizal Ave. Monumento, Caloocan City

Prepare 115.00 pesos for new applicants and for those renewing. They will also make it hard for you to get your change. One lady was complaining because she paid 200.00 pesos  and was asked to return because they had no change for her. When she went back to the counter she had to explain to the cashier what hapened she said ” diba sabi mo wala kang barya kaya dapat bumalik ako… 200 and pera ko.”

It is also wise to get the NBI card while your there. Prepare 120.00 pesos for the card.

Don’t forget to bring your own pen.

Be prepared to stay there for a couple of hours.

Don’t buy those certificates. You won’t need one.

Experimental Life

I chose that title for my blog beacause I feel that I am conducting an experiment. Asking all sorts of question about how to make it online. Trying out new things. Gathering different advises to promote my blog.

It’s been awhile since I realy sat down and write something. Creating this blogging knowing that my identity is protected makes me feel liberated to divulge personal information about details of my life and how I feel. However, not being able to invite my friends to check out this blog is challenging.

The sucess of this blog will rely on strangers. I am trying to get use to different programs. I realized that there are a lot of things that I need to do, that there are a lot of things I need to learn about. Its both scary and exciting.

Its a bit frustrating not being able to do everything I want to do with this page. Not being able to advertise this. That no one has visited my site yet, No one has read my posts yet.

After, publishing some post I took time to read different articles. At this point I am so overwhelmed with so many unknown online terms and different advices.

Basically, I just write then hope that someone would stumble upon my posts.  Maybe someone will like my posts. Its a new thing for me. Starting something is difficult and frustrating but the posibilities are endless. I love writting and this is my first time to try out wirtting for other to read. I ussually write for private reasons. Being able to write something others will take time to read is exciting, exhilirating and at the same time realy frightening.   I can’t sleep. Hell I can’t even log out. Maybe this is just normal. This is a great way to end a year and strat anew.

Humble beginnings

The idea of making money online was introduced by my friend. I don’t know much about computers or being online. He was supposed to install a pc program so that we can start working at home. The idea of having a home based job is really appealing. I applied for an internet subscription immediately.

After applying I started contacting my friend. Instead, I received a ranting text message from forwarded that message back to him, and added that it was me, maybe he sent it by mistake. But he did not replied. So, I concluded that it was meant for me. I am really puzzled about the way he responded because I  just informed him that I already have internet connection and asked him about when can he come here to install the program. Until now I still don’t know why he got pissed off with that message.

Since I already have access online I researched about how I to make money online. I stumbled upon different surveys that promised to pay just for answering surveys. I created an account with A.W Surveys, on December 20, 2010. I eagerly answered the surveys and waited for more surveys. On the second night, I researched online about legitimate paying surveys. I found out that for A.W Surveys only has one survey after that you make money by referring friends.  I am making an experiment regarding this site if they are truly legitimate by referring this site to everyone. The good thing about this site is that they are not asking for any money.  You can create an account for free and just refer this we can earn money. I am not particular about any timeframe as of the moment. I just want to know if it can be done. If I invest time referring people to sign up will I profit from this?

Some how I am hopeful.

Hello world!

This is my first time to write as a blogger with the intention to earn from blogging. Aside from posting articles about my life. I will post information about my new adventure online. Trying to make a living online. Is it realy possible? Am I good enough? How will people react to my opnions?

Rejection and failure is scary. But the potential is inspiring. I am hoping to become a better blogger. Pardon my ignorance for I am just a new blogger and in time this blog will hopefully look better.
